This is exactly like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0014CIBWC?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=magiclamp-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B0014CIBWC\">Dash Express<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=magiclamp-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B0014CIBWC\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>, which is a GPS that does all this for you.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for Dash, they are <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wired.com\/gadgets\/2008\/11\/dash-express-ki.html\">killing their GPS devices<\/a>.   Does that mean it was a bad idea?  Not at all.  It&#8217;s a GREAT idea.<\/p>\n<p>Now, would this make a great iPhone app?  Probably, but the problem with it is that if you&#8217;re giving routing information, you need to know where you&#8217;re going in the first place?   Why not let the iPhone&#8217;s built-in map do it?  <a href=\"http:\/\/gadgets.boingboing.net\/2008\/06\/11\/apples-way-or-the-hi.html\">Well, that&#8217;s against the iPhone rules<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Someone&#8217;s going to figure out how to do this properly, either through an agreement with Apple, after Apple loosens the rules up, or through a Dash-like device that does this in a way the company can keep going.
